Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://badtimesrecords.com.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, support shopping and checkout, measure site usage, and manage newsletter-related behavior.

These may include cookies that remember your selected currency and similar browsing preferences, help the site and cache system serve the correct version of a page, keep track of cart contents and checkout session state, and record whether you have interacted with newsletter signup forms or similar messaging.

We also use analytics and marketing-related cookies, including Google Analytics cookies, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve performance and user experience.

If you have an account and sign in, we will also use cookies needed to maintain your login session and account-related preferences.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you were visiting the other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including when you have an account with that website and are logged in to it.

How long we retain your data

If you create an account on our website, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time, except for your username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We generally retain personal data for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, and for as long as we are legally required to keep it. We retain order information for 7 years for fulfillment, customer service, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
  • Location, IP address, and browser type: we use this for purposes such as estimating taxes and shipping.
  • Shipping address: we ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order and ship your order to you.

We also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you browse our site.

When you purchase from us, we ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and any information needed to complete payment and fulfill your order. Payment details may be processed by the payment provider you select rather than stored directly on our website. We use this information for purposes such as:

  • Send you information about your account and order.
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Set up your account for our store.
  • Comply with our legal obligations, such as calculating taxes.
  • Improve our store offerings.
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them.

Newsletter and marketing

If you choose to sign up for our newsletter, including through checkout, we collect your email address and related subscription data in order to send you marketing emails, store updates, and other communications you have agreed to receive.

If you choose to participate in promotional activities that require newsletter signup, we may also record your participation and related order information for the purpose of administering that promotion.

Our email marketing system may record subscription status and email engagement data, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, to help us manage campaigns and measure their performance.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us directly.

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We will also store product reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information, such as what was purchased, when it was purchased, and where it should be sent.
  • Customer information, such as your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds, and support you.

What we share with others

We share information with third parties who help us provide store services to you, including payment providers, shipping and fulfillment providers, email service providers, and technical service providers.

Payment providers

We accept payments through WooPayments, PayPal, Hong Kong PayMe, and Hong Kong FPS. When you place an order, we collect information required to process and fulfill it, such as your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, order details, IP address, and payment-related transaction information.

Card payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our website. Depending on the payment method you choose, your payment information may be processed directly by the relevant provider and shared with us only to the extent necessary to confirm, manage, and support your payment and order.

These providers may receive data such as your purchase total, billing information, shipping information where relevant, IP address, and other information required for fraud prevention, payment authorization, and transaction support. Please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant providers for more information.

Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator and may also be purged earlier if needed. We may use QUIC.cloud services to process and cache data temporarily.
